NEWS from our VSA Sisters Program and Extreme Tournament

This past week-end (July 23/24) our girls team played in the semi-final of the extreme sports women tournament in Kayole, East of Nairobi. Thanks to the efforts of our Academy Staff we were able to raise kshs 4,000.00 (Euros 34.50) for transport and lunch, the girls spent the whole day at the tournament venue. Unfortunately our Girls were eliminated from the tournament, although they showed improvements in what matters most: team spirit, sportsmanship and good looking soccer.

As many of our followers know, the members of our girls team all come from the three slums in Nairobi which are Deepsea, Mathare, and Githogoro slum in Runda. The girls program is different from the boys program,  girls need more attention than boys in order to be encouraged, as well as to be kept motivated and busy.

Our Academy is making great efforts to keep up teams for both our boys and girls, we aim to provide equally important programs for both. We need to support the costs of these activities that help our children have fun and improve, both on and off the pitch.

If anyone wishes to help our programs, or perhaps wish to make a contribution towards a specific program like our Girls or Boys training, our Feeding Program, or Child Education/School fees, please don't hesistate to contact us. We are happy to receive any type of donation or help, a little help from you can make a big difference for our Children.
